Back in Business

OK, so I've neglected my blog for a couple months. I missed the opportunity to weigh in on a few issues, but now I'm back.

Keep an eye out for my extremely controversial position on immigration. (I'm kidding here, keep an eye out for my stunningly middle-of-the-road position on immigration.)

Also, as soon as I finish a couple books I'm plowing through, I'm going to put up some book reviews. Unfortunately, I seem to be in the middle of three different books right now. Don't know how that happened, its very unusual for me. Two of them sort of got bogged down in the middle, so maybe that has something to do with it. I'm looking forward to adding some book reviews here, though. I never intended this to be a 100% politics blog, so in addition to some of the science stuff I've posted, I'll be adding the book reviews. Mostly non-fiction stuff at first. That just happens to be what I'm currently reading.

Wiretapping Hearings

So I've been blabbing on about there being no Congressional investigation into Bush's wiretapping. I clearly don't have very many readers or someone would have pointed out that the Senate Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing in two weeks on exactly that.

One of these days I hope to have enough readers that someone will tell me when I'm being an idiot. :)

Searches That Link Here

When I check my website stats, sometimes I notice weird Google or MSN searches where this site is listed on the first page of results. Just for fun, I've decided to keep a list of some of these at the left.

Picking Up Steam?

Here's the results of the MSN search for "Presidential Wiretapping". My post on that subject is #9 on the list. That's the first time I've seen my blog listed on the first page of a search.

Pretty cool, huh?

Sorry, couldn't resist a little self-congratulation there. Aah, the little things in life. :)

Update: I also seem to be on the first page on Google of "coal miner's spaghetti". (I don't know ... someone was referred in from that page, I thought it was funny, so here it is.)

Update2: Damn. I just realized that I'll probably lose my spot on the Google link once those two posts fall of the front page, since "coal miner" and "spaghetti" occur in separate posts and won't be on the same page anymore.

Ha! Except now they will be on the same page again, because of this update. Brilliant of me, huh?
